Cycling to Hook Norton
Beer Festival on Saturday 18th July |
North Cotswold Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale |
North Cotswold CAMRA supported Hook Norton Beer Festival on 18th July. Chairman Roger Price and Webmaster Peter Rowe, members of the Cyling Section rode 18 miles to the festival arriving early and settled for a pint of Hooky Gold in the Pear Tree (Photo 1) before joining other cyclists from Stratford at the Festival to compare blisters (Photo 2). North Cotswold member and Brewer Jon Pilling (Photo 4) congratulated Festival organiser Gill Begnor on the new more spacious location and an excellent turn out in support of Charity. Dawn Harrison our treasurer and husband Dick Harrison (Photo 5) helped with the beer tasting along with Shakespeare Branch John Ross and partner (Photo 6). The beer festival was not exclusive to humans. A fine group of bearded collies ably handled by Ron (Photo 3), looked as if they would steal the show. The weather held out and it was so popular that several beers started running out before 6pm when we reluctantly cycled back to Bourton for a BBQ at Peters.
